Psychology 4U
I’m Kristina, an AHPRA-registered psychologist dedicated to helping people create meaningful, lasting change. My work is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. I believe in the power of genuine human connection and in therapy as a space for healing, insight, and growth.
Having worked across different cultures and countries, both overseas and in Australia, I understand people not just through symptoms or diagnoses, but through the richness of their experiences, strengths, and capacity for change. I have a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and incorporate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
These therapies are particularly effective for trauma and PTSD, helping clients process distressing memories and reshape unhelpful thoughts and beliefs. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, mood difficulties, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, emotional regulation issues, and major life transitions. My aim is to empower clients with practical skills that support resilience and overall well-being.
My style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I strive to create a safe and calm environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported, whether you’re navigating a difficult time or seeking deeper self-understanding. I also speak Slovak and Czech and welcome clients who prefer therapy in those languages.
If you’re considering therapy, I’d be honoured to support you on your path toward greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.

CBT is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours contributing to emotional distress. By addressing both cognitive distortions and maladaptive behaviours, CBT empowers clients to develop healthier coping strategies and achieve lasting change. This approach is effective for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders.
EMDR is a specialised therapy for trauma that helps individuals process distressing memories and reduce their emotional impact, making it highly effective for PTSD, anxiety, and depression. By using bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones—EMDR facilitates the brain's natural healing process, allowing clients to reframe negative beliefs and integrate adaptive coping strategies.
ACT is a mindfulness-based therapy that encourages individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings rather than trying to control them. It promotes psychological flexibility by helping clients commit to actions that align with their values, even in the presence of difficult emotions. ACT is effective for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.
CPT is a structured form of cognitive-behavioral therapy designed to help individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to trauma. By addressing these "stuck points," CPT empowers clients to reframe distorted thoughts, enhancing emotional regulation and promoting recovery.
